How cricket points tables usually work
Most limited-overs events award 2 points for a win, 1 for a tie or no-result, and 0 for a loss. When points are equal, net run rate (NRR) separates teams. Some formats use bonus points or head-to-head — confirm your event rules before publishing final standings.
This generator uses the classic 2 / 1 / 0 model so club and gully organisers can publish a clean table without building a spreadsheet from scratch.
- Win = 2 points
- Tie / no result = 1 point each
- Loss = 0 points
- Equal points → compare NRR (or your house rule)
Building a fair league table
Enter each team’s played / won / lost / tied columns and an NRR value (calculate NRR with our net run rate calculator). The table sorts automatically by points, then NRR.
For multi-group tournaments, keep one table per group, then run knockouts separately. Always freeze the table when a match is abandoned so captains agree on the points awarded.
From a static table to a live tournament
A web points table is fine for a weekend knockout. Multi-day leagues need every scorecard, playing XI, and result stored reliably — including when the ground has no signal.
STUMPED is built for that: create teams once, start scoring offline, and share results when you reconnect.
